Some might remember me from Marion's forum, same username there if I recall correctly, or it was just my first name there, been so long I don't remember. So I'm from the Netherlands, from a city that became (in)famous back in 2000 and not in a good way. I've met Marion couple of times (and one of her sisters as well at the merchandise stand) in Norway at her concerts. Unfortunately never got to meet her while she was in Amsterdam for an interview where Kim and Ling were, wasn't allowed in for not being a reporter , too bad Marion didn't mention that requirement on her old forum. Anyway, been working for a little over a year know at a company as test engineer, after having been unemployed for over a decade. I'm testing products in a variety of ways to see if they work or not, due to NDA's I can't tell much more. I remember that, long time ago that was. Hey bartgrefte, I wasn't very active at Marion's forums, but wow, welcome back. You're important here Thanks for your intro, I do hope a few people from Marion's boards also come by to say hi and perhaps Pandanita remembers you too. I'm super glad you're with us! Good luck with your career - and you do not need to share anything that you are not allowed to share so that will be accepted and respected Have fun with us and hope you stay! Thanks , next month contract renewal, wish me luck/ Well, we switched to Twittrer/X and Facebook, so still a bit in touch.
Maybe useful to mention, in order to do multi-quote (had to look for this, turns out it isn't obvious) is by clicking on that grey sprocket thingy on the right of every post and click select post, with each one, then hit reply. All quotes are now in 1 post I'm Anouk from the Netherlands, and my username on the forum back in the days was most probably also Buffy2ndSlayer, although I hung out mostly on Marit's forum. I spent a lot of time chatting on MSN Messenger (wow, so old) and blogging on Blogspot with a bunch of familiar names that are already up here in this thread. So nice to meet you again! This is truly a trip down memory lane. What about me now... I'm married, work as a Software Engineer and Designer and most importantly: I'm still making music! Learned to play guitar to M2M songs, so to think about this time, how it all started, just blows my mind now! You can look me up on Spotify if you want. My artist name is Anne Curlew. I also remember that Marit stopped by in the online chatbox on her website one day. That was such a move. I was fortunate enough to later catch her live in a small venue in Rotterdam one day, that was an amazing night that I will never forget. I can't wait to see what these two are up to! Welcome fellow Dutchie Define old, I used ICQ back in the day as well, even remember using dial-up internet.... So far I've only seen one of Marit's concerts (Paradiso) and didn't even require a planeticket, unlike with most of Marion's concerts I've been to. The only one of Marion's concerts that didn't require a plane was the Rockpalast concert in Köln / Cologne, first time I was on a high speed train back then. So I'm from the Netherlands, from a city that became (in)famous back in 2000 and not in a good way. Ok, I'm breaking my brain about which city that's supposed to be, but I'm drawing blank. Can you give a little hint? I live in Dordrecht, btw (eye for an eye ) Edit: I think I know, does it have to do with fireworks? Ok, I'm breaking my brain about which city that's supposed to be, but I'm drawing blank. Can you give a little hint? I live in Dordrecht, btw (eye for an eye ) Edit: I think I know, does it have to do with fireworks? I think that's the one. I had a faint memory from the netherlands on the news in the year 2000 and rechecked with ChatGPT. And also: Welcome back Anouk! Yep and guess what, nothing changed. In this region alone there are still dozens of storage facilities still located in residential area's.

Hello everyone! My name is Carla, I'm from Minnesota. I've been a M2M-listener for a while, since 2000 or so, but am relatively new to the online fan-space. Happy to be here now though! I'm excited to see what happens next for Marit & Marion. I'd be really happy if they tour, because I've never seen them play live. I work as a carpenter in the commercial construction world. One of my first jobs that I was a part of was building a new apartment building, and one of the things I remember most fondly was listening to the Acoustic EP on Spotify on repeat while installing sheet metal panels and trim. Probably not what people might think of in terms of the music played on a construction site, but I enjoyed it. In my free time, I love to bike, read, hike, cross-stitch, and travel. Hello Carla! So nice to have you on the boards. Welcome, welcome! Thanks for sharing a bit about yourself. You know, funny how I was travelling by bus after work yesterday and passed by a school that is still under construction and I was seeing the people building it layer by later and wondering "When the school is complete, do we think about these hands that made it possible?" I teach for a living and I cannot teach without a proper building or furniture or other fascilities so you have my respect for what you do. Thanks for being a part of the community. Aww that's so very sweet! I've been lucky to have worked on a few school projects. Actually, I'm building a new elementary school right now (in the very beginning stages...) It's at times challenging, sometimes rather mundane, but overall rewarding. I have a lot of respect for teachers---I was very lucky to have some amazing teachers when I was growing up. Thank you for all you do as well. Happy to be a part of this community

Hi everyone, I’m Josh from China, and I was born in 2002, the year when M2M disbanded. I fell in love with their songs and became their fan in about 2014. I’m really enchanted by the album Shades Of Purple, which always reminds me of the carefree days with my friends in high school. I’ve been dreaming for many years that someday I could see them perform together, and now it seems that day is coming. I found the new official Instagram account by chance today, and I’m so exited to discover there is a fan community about M2M. I can’t believe it that after over two decades many of you are still fond of Marit and Marion! Super glad to meet all of you here! And thank you Ira for running this forum! Welcome! It's so nice to see younger people hopping on board as well! Yes, we are very loyal fans I guess, haha. Anyway, thanks for joining! We're happy to have you here ^^

Welcome fellow Dutchie Define old, I used ICQ back in the day as well, even remember using dial-up internet.... Omg, me too!!! Haha. I even used Windows 3.1 and WordPerfect back in the days. I played my first video games from floppy disks and I had a Walkman and a Discman. My age is showing, huh. I'm 35, by the way :'D and I feel so at home here. Yep and guess what, nothing changed. In this region alone there are still dozens of storage facilities still located in residential area's. Really? Oh wow, I didn't know that. I live on the other side of the country, guess that kind of news doesn't travel all the way here. That sucks, but also, sadly not very surprising for this country...

Oh wow, this is bringing back so many memories! And so nice to hear how everyone is going all these years later! I swear, I spent most of 2005-2007 on Marit’s message boards, it feels like a lifetime ago! I’m Taryn from Perth, Australia, pretty sure I was always tarynma on the message boards back in the day, so it’s fun to revisit that username! I used to run devoted.to/m2m and dryshimmerdazzle.com and to be back here now is just blowing my mind! I’m hoping to fly over to somewhere in SE Asia to see the tour, I can’t believe this is actually a possibility all these years later!
