...a few years after the passing of my late father, I was just a teenager all by myself in a room at my grandma's - some time early 2000s, pretty sick and tired of everything. I grabbed a random magazine from a tall pile of newspapers and magazines and saw this: Everything else fell into place . When was the first time you heard about M2M?

The first time I heard about M2M was in October of 1999. It must have been between the 18th of October and the 31st of October because those were the school holidays in the fall season that year where I lived. I was watching a show with my brother on TV. During an ad break, there was a tv sequence about the "Song of the Week" or something like that. They presented "Don't Say You Love Me" by M2M as the featured song, accompanied by the music video for the song. It was only a very short clip, just a couple of seconds long, but the chorus got me hooked.
Later, I watched the first Pokemon Movie in cinema, and I remember the song playing in the end credits. I got the soundtrack for the movie later, and believe it or not, for a fairly long time, this was the only CD I had of M2M.
I always had this feeling that M2M would be pretty meaningful in my life. And it turned out to be true.

I don't recall the year, but it was a time when CD stores were still a thing, and Tower Records was the place to be. So I walked in one day and put on a pair of headphones to listen to the latest CDs. And it was SOP on the machine.
Unlike most fans, it wasn't DSYLM that got me hooked on M2M, it was Mirror Mirror. I loved the harmonies on this song. Then, as I listened to Pretty Boy, the TV screens in the place played the video to this song. And that did it for me. I fell for them right there.

I think it was early 2000 after new year, i saw don't say you love me on tv, i was on 6 grade, but it just pass, beside i though they were twins, my neighbour always play their song, time passed, then mirror-mirror and then pretty boy, everything you do, those videos are on high played here in indonesia. Early 2001, i turn to 2nd grade of junior high, The day you went away receive high rotation on tv, and i love that song so much. They're released Shades Of Purple South East Asian Edition here. TDYWA was amazing and stuck in my head and then i had this weird dream that they sing in front of my house!!! Since then i become die hard fan of M2M!!!

I was watching MTV at noon and they had don't say you love me music video playing, I was instantly hooked because it was the soundtrack of pokemon 1st movie, I was so addicted to pokemon game back then (actually until now) I had my 5th grade classmate lend me their shade of purple album💜, it was on cassette tape, had the lyrics on the labels, so I had memorize every song in the album, they went here in the Philippines but unfortunately I wasn't able to Go 😩 but this time around, iam sooooo ready! Please go back here in manila ❤️❤️

The first time I listened to a m2m song was before the beginning of pokemon movie. They included the video of the song on that VHS tape (I'm sounding too old!). Then I listened to 'Everyhing you do' at MTV channel and that was the moment when I became a true fan. Good old memories .

Can’t remember date and time but I was probably 13 years old, I was at my auntie’s and my cousin she turned on the TV at the now defunct Canal 28, it was a Mexican channel dedicated to play music videos all day long they just finished playing the Shakira bar and they started playing a video with some Pokemon footage in it followed by some Britney and Ateens stuff, but was so not interested in it, in the other hand the DSYLM video it got me hooked like instantly but sadly it took me some time to find it who these talented girls were, they didn’t tagged videos with song and artists names so it was a very hard thing to search for them again, thankfully a few months later I was watching Much Music channel and they played The Day You Went Away and so my story with M2M officially began! I didn't got the Cds then but until i was 16 (old enough to get a job lol)

Discovered them in October 1999, watching MTV Europe, DSYLM aired, immediately fell in love with the band. After the music video they interviewed Marit and Marion in a studio.
That was the only time I ever saw that particular interview.
That was almost 25 years ago, crazy.

I became a fan from Pokémon the first movie. I heard Don't Say You Love Me playing in the ending credits and thought the song was so pretty. I didn't get the chance to become a fan during their active years, so it was only until I got older and had access to the internet where I became a fan. And the rest became history. So, I know Marit and Marion weren't happy that it ended up in the Pokémon soundtrack, but I'm grateful it did.

I was a huge BBMak fan back in the day, so 8-year-old me was pretty stoked to watch the Disney Channel In Concert special that featured BBMak and M2M. That was the first time I had ever heard their name and music, and I was hooked. Of course the Pokemon movie sort of re-introduced me to Don't Say You Love Me. Then, my mom bought a box of Fruity Pebbles cereal that had a free CD inside. "Give A Little Love" was the first track. I played that CD until it wore out lol. Also, the "Mirror Mirror" music video was on Disney Channel A LOT back then.
I basically have Disney and my mom buying cereal to thank for my introduction to M2M.
